Howdy Ho (s!) and beloved famdamly!
I just spent the weekend with Dustfish friends and family up in Sebastopol for Lord Huckleberry's surprise wake/roast. Good times with great people, old and new friends, beautiful peeps and plenty of BACON! A few Dustfish king/queenpins and I discussed DivaFish/DustBooty (DBC and Dustfish) and I became inspired!
I propose a committee of three (or four or five?) liasons/communicators/representatives (or more? But not too many...maybe three to five main people and limitless helpers?)--one for L.A., one for S.F. Bay/NorCal, one for P-Town and one for Seattle (or combine Portland and Seattle?). Maybe one more for unincorporated/transient /other city/free agent Diva Boot Campers?
These leaders need to be solid, altruistic, communicative, accountable, dependable, capable, honest, open-minded, egalitarian, inspired...and know how to delegate, ask for help, see the big picture, REPESENT, have fun; Have a realistic sense of people's talents, skills, abilities, potential and boundaries and have collaborative vision, group mindedness, creativity, leadership, and networking skills and be well-connected with other DBC. No power-trippers, egoists, attention hungry vampires, elitist exclusionists, fascists, wussies, whiny bitches or martyrs! Are you feelin' it?
I volunteer as the One for S.F. Bay/ NorCal and can take on the application. Who's with me? Any nominees (yourself or someone else)? Let's do it!
I think camping behind Dustfish or across the street one block back would be a NICE ONE...we'd probably have more land/space and more privacy/less exposure (a good thang!).
Another thought is fuck having a stage and have the Bus as our venue if Kelly's cool with that and we make sure we do the work and don't burden him. Dustfish wants to combo on this and skip their stage too. I'm up for less work, more fun and more tight community and family!
