I have done it 2 yrs. now and only out of commitment to keep our camp together and place for all to gather at BM.
But I don't have the energy or time to do that this year.
I'm sure there are lots of very capable people who might want to take this on.
I have heard that Kelly is bringing the bus back and that the groove bomb is coming back full on this year...so.....
would be sweet to have DBC represented as well.
Not to mention that Tuker and Shrine have the temple project.!!!
This is a year not to miss!!!

I know a lot of us are tired and it is a lot of work, Has anyone thought about moving the camp away from the playa for a year or two and make a super cool chill camp that we can actually sleep during the day without a booming noise in our ears and take care of our selves for a change. I know that is not completely in the spirit of the burn but we dont allways have to be the most bitchin camp. We can scale down the stage and amps and go family style. Maybe we could enjoy ourselves a little more and work a little less. Just a thought, it may be better idea than letting the camp go under all together and everyone splitting into other camps. Any suggestions , what do you think? or if anyone gets its something organized. I will still be up for 3 or 4 days of building and stress ,, what the hell. Peace bighugs, Bigheat -

This year I'm workin on the groove bomb..thats my contribution... and i can camp with them since i'm bustin my ass on the best art car ever.
I can't pull theme camp moves this year though...so whats goin on? how are we all doin energetically and what do we Really want this year?
I need to max and relax and bring my personal flare...

we're going back as DUSTFISH, INC. (the american dream, no?)
that way, we don't have to work (the american dream) because we're going to outsource all the work (the american dream)....and we can still be on the esplanade (our dream)!
it's just a beginning, but, it seems to work....or, not work. our camp doesn't want to work this year. WE WANT TO GET TRASHY and be completely FREE!!!
and, yes. we can get freer and trashier.
we'll be checking on outsources and let you know.

I just spent the weekend with Dustfish friends and family up in Sebastopol for Lord Huckleberry's surprise wake/roast. Good times with great people, old and new friends, beautiful peeps and plenty of BACON! A few Dustfish king/queenpins and I discussed DivaFish/DustBooty (DBC and Dustfish) and I became inspired!
I propose a committee of three (or four or five?) liasons/communicators/representatives (or more? But not too many...maybe three to five main people and limitless helpers?)--one for L.A., one for S.F. Bay/NorCal, one for P-Town and one for Seattle (or combine Portland and Seattle?). Maybe one more for unincorporated/transient /other city/free agent Diva Boot Campers?
These leaders need to be solid, altruistic, communicative, accountable, dependable, capable, honest, open-minded, egalitarian, inspired...and know how to delegate, ask for help, see the big picture, REPESENT, have fun; Have a realistic sense of people's talents, skills, abilities, potential and boundaries and have collaborative vision, group mindedness, creativity, leadership, and networking skills and be well-connected with other DBC. No power-trippers, egoists, attention hungry vampires, elitist exclusionists, fascists, wussies, whiny bitches or martyrs! Are you feelin' it?
I volunteer as the One for S.F. Bay/ NorCal and can take on the application. Who's with me? Any nominees (yourself or someone else)? Let's do it!
I think camping behind Dustfish or across the street one block back would be a NICE ONE...we'd probably have more land/space and more privacy/less exposure (a good thang!).
Another thought is fuck having a stage and have the Bus as our venue if Kelly's cool with that and we make sure we do the work and don't burden him. Dustfish wants to combo on this and skip their stage too. I'm up for less work, more fun and more tight community and family!
